is the wild cherry sphinx moth endangered?

I found a caterpiller and was wondering what it could be.
I found a caterpillar and it could either be a great ash sphinx moth or a wild cherry sphinx moth. i would alsolike to know what they eat.

No they aren't.

The caterpillar version of it looks like this.
