Pcs Rust
DnD related: Is this too OP?
I am a DM and i am making a campaign where i intend to mess with my PC's a lot, making it fun and forcing them to use what they see fit. So here is my question, is having a monk with a rust monster ki strap that has wish rubies on it too OP when coming to a person's job stopping or helping the players when they do stupid things?
Its not an NPC though, well kinda, but he his a major part of the story, seeing that he is literally the right hand man of the main protagonist, this character is a monk/kensai with a demon eye graft and is half celestial
It's tough to know the way this will effect balance without a lot more information, especially what level the characters are. I mean if this is first level, then wishes should be no where near the characters on either side.
If these are epic level characters around 25 or 26, then this might be an appropriate challenge.
For future reference the 3.x Magic Item Compendium has a great section in it about giving magic items to NPCs and how to adjust their challenge rating based on the items they have. If you want to do stuff like this, I would certainly pick that book up, and read more about how magic items effect the game balance.
