Needle Felting

help with needle felting

i really need help needle felting a dogs head. can anyone give me any tips on making a muzzle?
or making a long haired dog like a collie.
i usually attach a ball to a larger ball to make the head and muzzle but i would like some ways to make it more dog-like. if anyone has any suggestions on how to attach it to the head they would also be apprieciated.
