Maple Board
Question about mineral oil on cutting boards?
I made a cutting board with strips of maple and bubinga. I sanded it as smooth as can be. Then, I coated it with mineral oil three times.
This morning, I used the cutting board and then rinsed it off in the sink. The wood surface is all rough now from the water.
What is the secret to keeping the surface smooth?
Thanks.
scrape it down with a flat metal blade each time you use it,
