Where is a good place for buying leather?

I am making a brigandine for SCA armor, but I am having trouble finding leather to make it out of. Does anyone one here do leathercraft and know of an affordable place to get pieces of leather (maybe suede) big enough to make a solid backing out of? It has to be at least 20 inches by 30 inches square.

I believe Tandy Leather ships leather. Also I'd check ebay, there are plenty of merchants who do merchanting online in addition to events.
