Large Poppy

my poppy plant is quite large all the flowers have died and the stems are now falling over do I cut it back?

If the plant is unsightly,by all means cut it back,leaving sufficient stem to identify when cultivating the soil.
When the poppy heads have dried completely,the seed may easily be extracted and sown on any vacant soil.Poppies raised in this way may not be true to the parent-but they're free!
