Jars Lids

Do men close the lids on jars too tightly on purpose so that they can feel manly and useful later when women ?

ask them to open the jars for them?

Are they really not aware of how tightly they're closing the jar? Even on screw-top jars they close it past the ridges and make the lid get stuck on the jar.
