What is the best way to cut a fresh pineapple, and what kind of knife is best to use?

I need to cut it up into chunks to put on a tray of fresh fruit for a bridal luncheon I am giving.

Also do I serve it with toothpicks or what?

You should use a serrated knife, cut the top and bottom off first, then stand it up on the cutting board and use the knife like a saw and take the peel off, after its peeled, stand it up and cut it into quarters, then you can cut away the core that will be on every quarter, slice each quarter long ways in half then you can chunk it up, toothpicks would be fine
