Exotic Crocodile
Exotic Animal Regulations in Canada (specifically Alberta)?
For some time now I've been extremely curious as to what the regulations are here in Canada. I've searched online and I cannot seem to find anything pertaining to which animals are totally illegal to own.
I ask this because I'm curious as to the steps needed to own an alligator/crocodile, anaconda, tiger, ocelot, serval (any big cat really), and different kinds of foxes (arctic, fennec or swift).
*Before* anyone says "you realize how big those get" or "they're wild animals", etc.
I know how big each one gets, I know they're wild/dangerous and I know they're going to be expensive, etc.
I'm asking simply for reference since I can't find anything anywhere that says the rules... and I don't want to drop money to get one of these only to find out they were seized at the border for being exotic (in the hypothetical very slim-chance that I ever get one).
Check with Canadian Wildlife Conservation and Reserves they'll be able to tell you
