Curly Koa

Tips for working with wood?

Anyone familiar with woodworking? I'm looking for tips for working wood, Hawaiian Curly Koa wood in particular. General advice and guidance on the preparation of raw wood for use in craft would be much appreciated.

I recommend that you check to see if there is a local club in carpentry. Most places have one. So much to learn and that is a good way to start. Most workers wood love to share what they know and can be very useful to get a person started. Here is one of many sites with a list of clubs. http://wiki.woodmagazine.com/page/Woodworking+Clubs?t=anon
