Blade Wood
My Delta X5 Unisaw blade tends to burn the wood while cutting. Does that mean the blade is too dull?
Every time I make a cut, the edges come out black, and often there's some smoke. Pushing the wood through quickly lessens the problem, but it never really goes away. Should I have the blade sharpened, replace it, or is there possibly some other problem?
a few things, first is the fence parallel with the blade?hows the run out of the arbor? did you tune the saw before using?is the blade facing the right direction? all of these can cause burning.finally what kind of wood are you cutting? some will burn if the feed rate is wrong.
