Black Walnut

Has anyone use black walnut for treating heart worms?

adopted a stray dog that was diagnosed with wireline. It is under cardotek now for about 6 months (I adopter at the time) - the doctors said she could not not take the harsher treatment. It is caughing much and I am desperate to get these nasty parasites in his system before he is too late. I read many articles on the black walnut as a treatment alternative that would be less aggressive. Has anyone tried or knows someone who has? Please help. Thank you very much

http://www.vet.purdue.edu/depts/addl/toxic/plant45.htm http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&cat=1684&articleid=1553 I have always thought that the black walnut was toxic to dogs. diease Heartworm in dogs is not something to mess around with, I do not discuss treatment with your vet, I wold hate for anythig bad happens to your dog, please discuss treatment with them.
