Beaded Strip

What should I use for the leaves?

Building a casting tape wrapped fairy tale in search of trees. I build a wire mesh of small trees about 2 feet high. Inside there is half a box of oatmeal. The mesh will be form in the body of a gnarled tree like you see in a fairy glen in a Disney cartoon. The mesh will be wrapped with strips of plaster Upholstered I bought the craft store Michael. The tree will be painted and accented, but for the life of me, I do not know what I should use for the leaves. I thought of clipping the ends of thick wire and glue in place. I thought of using beads oblong and paste them in place, but nothing obvious. The tree is a box of Valentine's Day with my daughter. Parents have to make them. My daughter is almost 4 years and she really loves disney merchandise like fairy Tinkerbell. I'm wanting the tree to be built well enough to win, but rather sustainable, it can include it with his other toys. Any ideas people?

Go to the fabric store and purchase green vinyl fabric. It nature if you cover fabric stools and outdoor furniture with. Or better yet, get a couple of different colors of vinyl fabric. He has a sparkle as real leaves do! Cut small leaf shapes and glue them to the two branches of trees with a glue gun. The result effect is fantastic!
