Base Oil
Need more help deciding on whether to use basic primer, oil or latex primer ...?
Some people say that primer-base oil is the recommended choice when painting on wood or drywall in wet areas such as kitchen and bathroom ... then, some people say that this is true, because with today's technology, primer Latex current and latex paint are at least as durable and can even be superior to a primer and oil-based paint and latex primer and painting are just as durable when used on wood, which explains why nearly 80% -90% of all the paintings are sold in stores all in latex ... Is there an expert in painting or paint technician who knows which version is true? ... latex primer and paint is now as good or perhaps above primer and oil based paint ... if I'm not sure my old house built in the early 1960s; s is based oil or latex paint, is it wrong with a latex primer oil based paint, then applying a new coat of latex paint? What would happen if I apply a latex primer oil based paint, then applying a new coat of latex paint? Thank you in advance.
